Facebook Friends. A card of words and letters.
Remember when penmanship was used on a regular basis. We used to feel the need to write a note to someone to let them know we cared. Great effort went in to creating the write phraseology which would convey our feelings. Three page letters were common because we had things to say to each other and often three pages weren't enough to catch someone up on the latest details, the things we saw, the latest news and the other letters we wrote to other friends. Often, artistic additions would let us know the degree of the writers affection. We took pride in sending embellishments on fancy paper filled with words of encouragement, condolence, congratulations and advice. There was a time we waited anxiously for the mail to be delivered. Now, not so much. Facebook is replacing face time. We accept friend requests with no comment. When you befriend, be friends. Buy a Snacton post card and post it to someone you LIKE. This one was sent by my artist friend Charlotte. What a card.
